Why is the required evidence of professional  interpreter compensation set so low?

NRQPIC llc recognizes the various seasons within the life of paid interpreters for accommodation. Interpreters who have graduated programs, or obtained skill certifications but have not yet entered the working world as a paid interpreter may require much more supervision (and perhaps have less work opportunities) as they establish their ability to represent an organization, serving the community well.

NRQPIC llc is seeking to be inclusive of paid interpreters whose interpreting for accommodation workload for any reason may be less than full-time, and those who may spread their interpreting availability among various agencies. By setting the required minimum at $10,000/year for two years within five years of application for certification, NRQPIC llc hopes more paid interpreters would be eligible to qualify for National Certification.
