How do earning minimums work?
NRQPIC llc requires minimally $10,000.00 per year of income reported by endorsing agency to IRS for specifically interpreting-for-accommodation work to have been earned and reported for at least two of recent five years.
If, for example, an individual’s job responsibilities are 75% clerical, and 25% interpreting, and they earned $20,000/year for the past 2 years with that agency, that work would not qualify towards certification, because the interpreting portion of that income for that individual per year would only be $5,000.
If an individual’s title with an approved endorsing organization is “interpreter” and more than $10,000/year for minimally two years and their income earned within their endorsing organization is exclusively related to interpreting services they provide, that work would satisfy NRQPIC llc’s income minimums requirements.
