***NRQPIC emphasizes the importance of applicants making sure their employer has established an endorsing relationship with NRQPIC llc.. before applicant pays application fees.
All fees are non-refundable. Applicants who fail to meet the key factor of endorsement by a NRQPIC llc approved source will fail the certification process. No refunds will be made to applicants who fail the certification process.
FIRST
Before anything else, make sure your employer has successfully arranged to be an NRQPIC llc approved-for-issuing-endorsements organization before paying NRQPIC llc’s application fees.
Applications submitted without an approved endorsing organization will most likely fail the certification and certification will be declined without refund.
All fees are non-refundable.
If your employer is not yet an NRQPIC llc approved endorsing organization, ask them to consider becoming one of our approved endorsing organizations, provided that their history of staffing Interpreters for ADA protected consumers meets The National Registry of Qualified Professional Interpreter Certifications llc standards.
Once you are certain your employer is indeed an approved endorsing organization, use this checklist to pre-check your experience history for your best chances of qualifying for certification before paying application fees!
Payment of application fees does not guarantee certification will be issued.
Consider how your NRQPIC llc approved endorsing employer might respond to our request about your interpreting history within their organization:
__ What percentage of my earnings paid by this endorsing organization are ONLY for services I’ve provided as a paid interpreter for accommodation? (Non-Interpreting work history will not be considered towards certification)
__ What modalities, cultural, or regional specializations do I have a history for skillfully providing as languages of accommodation this endorsing organization’s ADA clients?
__ Using the above percentage to calculate the interpreting portion of my earnings, has $10,000 minimally for at least two of the past five years been reported by my endorsing organization to the IRS for only the interpreting portion of my work?
__ What is my work title within this endorsing organization? If my job title is not “Interpreter”, are you sure my the percentage of earnings as a paid interpreter for accommodation will satisfy NRQPIC llc’s requirements for certification eligibility? If my title is Interpreter, what duties outside of interpreting do I perform for this organization?
__ What concerns might this endorsing organization have about my ethical practices as an interpreter that might prevent me from obtaining this employer’s endorsement?
__ What concerns about my skill qualifications might this endorsing organization have that might prevent me from obtaining this employer’s endorsement?
__ Are my services provided as an interpreter through this endorsing organization provided to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act as a communication accommodation? If so, what percentage?
__ Are my services provided through this endorsing organization provided as an accommodation to a student, or students in an educational setting? If so, what percentage? What levels of education have I successfully provided interpreter services under this organization?
__ Am I in good-standing with this endorsing organization? How many years has my Interpreting services income been reported to the IRS by this organization?
__ Am I currently eligible to provide interpreter for accommodation services under this endorsing organization’s name? If not, what prevents me from representing this organization as an interpreter for accommodation?

Only when you feel confident in your NRQPIC llc approved endorsing employers responses regarding your professional history with that organization may indeed satisfy all of NRQPIC llc’s stringent requirements for certification, it’s time to apply for certification.
Please make certain to apply for the certification which best reflects the interpreting services you have provided for your NRQPIC llc approved-for-issuing-endorsements school or agency.
Barring unforeseen complications, when application fees have been successfully processed, applicants should get a confirmation email stating that application payment has been received and your path toward potential national certification has begun.
Applicants who fail to ensure everything required to meet NRQPIC llc’s stringent requirements for certification has been submitted in a timely fashion will fail the certification process.
No refunds for failed certification.
***IMPORTANT*** after paying for application online, you should receive an email containing your next required steps in the certification process. This will be sent to the email provided at time of payment.

An approved endorsing organization indeed provides great input to facilitate NRQPIC llc in the decision process whether to issue or deny an applicant’s certification. Endorsement from an approved organization is not the only factor considered in determining certification eligibility. An endorsing organization has no final say in NRQPIC llc’s ultimate decision to certify or deny certification to any applicant.
NRQPIC seeks to verify and confirm all aspects of information provided by the applicant, provided by endorsing organization, and confirmed through various sources.
Applicants, in applying for certification through The National Registry of Qualified Professional Interpreter Certifications llc, agree to have the established criteria for certification explored by NRQPIC llc and its appointed agents for the purpose of determining if NRQPIC llc will issue certification. Certifications issued by NRQPIC llc are solely made at NRQPIC llc’s discretion.
Applicants by applying, agree to hold harmless endorsing organizations, The National Registry of Qualified Professional Interpreter Certifications llc and their appointed representatives in this certification process regardless of outcome.
No refund, nor credit will be issued to applicants who fail the certification process.
Applicants who fail the certification process are encouraged to review all information outlining minimum requirements for certification, and are encouraged to re-apply after they feel they fully satisfied such standards to NRQPIC llc’s satisfaction.
