NRQPIC llc is an Online Business

Technology is truly amazing! Every minute it seems technology enables us to accomplish more and more with seemingly less and less! Modern businesses no longer need a brick and mortar establishment to conduct business.

The National Registry of Qualified Professional Interpreter Certifications llc is a modern online business. We do not have a traditional brick and mortar establishment. There is no storefront. NRQPIC llc receives most communications electronically. There is no building, yet, where visitors can show up, or make appointments to meet NRQPIC llc staff.

Starting Small

Mary Weeks is current manager of The National Registry of Qualified Professional Interpreter Certifications llc..  Everyone involved in this entity’s start has been investing much time. Founding investors are consulted on NRQPIC llc matters.

NRQPIC llc is prepared to staff the organization’s growth as necessary.

New

Launched January 5, 2017, The National Registry of Qualified Professional Interpreter Certifications llc is a modern online business.

A Small Business With Big Dreams

The biggest brightest dream of this entity remains to preserve the ADA established concept regarding “Who Decides Which Aid or Service Is Needed?”

NRQPIC llc founders wanted to create a certification process for proven, established and endorsed working professional ADA Qualified interpreters.

One of many purposes of the certifications we offer is to help eradicate instances of interpreter fraud.

Our founders have been disheartened to see seemingly well intentioned, yet truly uninformed legislators and policy makers creating policies, even laws favoring biased certifications. Many national certifications which are embedded as THE standard into such laws and policies throughout the United States no longer even exist.

Any authority which establishes appropriately biased entities to be THE AUTHORITY for EVERY language of accommodation (most probably unintentionally)  removes the rights of choice from the ADA protected population who requires interpreter services. Everywhere such laws and policies born out of ignorance are enforced individuals will be denied access to ADA Qualified interpreter services. NRQPIC llc desires that no individual would be denied access to the services which best accommodate their needs.

Most experienced professional interpreters for accommodation will readily explain there is not just one language for ADA accommodation.  As many variations there are naturally within any language, there are natural variations in every assorted modality within the broad and beautiful spectrum of languages of accommodation.  Naturally, most individuals have a preference about which language of accommodation would, or should serve them best.

As much as NRQPIC llc honestly appreciates the conversations, discussions and debates regarding which language of accommodation may be best, NRQPIC llc’s dream is that every individual requiring ADA protected Interpreter services would remain legally allowed to say “This professional interpreter is qualified for me!”

A Different Kind of Certification

NRQPIC llc did not want to clone any existing or expired certification processes. Our processes are refreshingly different. Some may not care for our processes. We mean them no harm.

We welcome all who share our vision of preserving individuals’ rights to access the interpreter accommodations the ADA inclusively, beautifully and broadly defines as “Qualified”.  We encourage anyone interested to explore our site and learn more about us.

Many inquire how our certifications compare to RID, NAD and a wide variety of certifications. The easiest way to explain ourselves is we are different.

Comparing us to others is like comparing apples to oranges.

NRQPIC llc has no desire to duplicate past or existing certification services offered by other agencies.

About Founder Mary Weeks

Mary Weeks is an active interpreter whose career spans 30 years.

She began been interpreting four years before the ADA was passed by congress in 1990. At the ADA’s inception Mary rejoiced with many celebrating America’s great leap toward protected equality for all!

Almost three decades after ADA’s passage, Mary remains concerned by every effort to block ADA protected individuals’ access to accommodations which are essential to preserve each individual’s personal opportunities for equality.

Mary knew she needed to do all within her power to make a difference. A problem solver, Mary shared her visions to preserve accessibility without discrimination to individuals whose rights to obtain the qualified interpreter services which BEST accommodate each individual’s needs are protected by the ADA. Out of this vision, The National Registry of Qualified Professional Interpreter Certifications llc was established.

Mary is founder of NRQPIC llc.

When every individual requiring ADA protected interpreter services has been restored fully their rights to say “This professional interpreter is qualified for me!” Mary believes NRQPIC llc will have truly accomplished this agency’s ultimate goal.
